IFRS Consolidation and Closing Management Lead

The head of consolidation is responsible for coordinating and producing the IFRS Scor financial statements on a quarterly basis, and for producing the Section 4 of Scor Universal Registration Document (primary financial statements and disclosures).

It also includes the planification of closing activities through the production of closing calendars, and the monitoring of these activities to secure the smooth progress of the closing process.

Key responsibilities are detailed below :

  1. Team Leadership and Organization

  2. Manage a team of 5 consolidation professionals and 1 Closing Coordination Officer.

  3. Responsible for the recruitment of the team members as needed.
  4. Define the team's annual roadmap and individual objectives.
  5. Ensure optimal allocation of consolidation and closing tasks across the team.

  6. IFRS Consolidation and Closing Process Oversight

  7. Coordinate quarterly and annual IFRS consolidation cycles.
  8. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of consolidated financial statements.
  9. Lead adjustment meetings with Finance stakeholders to identify and monitor late adjustments.
  10. Provide regular updates on financial statements and KPIs to GCAO management.
  11. Review memos and analyses prepared by the team.
  12. Oversee the end-to-end closing calendar and ensure alignment across all contributors an teams.
  13. Secure the timely delivery of audit trail to auditors by all teams.

  14. Accuracy and Reliability of Financial Reporting

  15. Implement and document controls to meet internal control and external audit requirements.
  16. Guarantee the traceability and quality of consolidated data.
  17. Supervise intercompany reconciliations and IFRS adjustments.
  18. Hold the position of Data steward for Group IFRS Financial data

  19. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  20. Act as consolidation expert in strategic initiatives (e.g., new product launches, segmental allocation optimization, data platform implementation).
  21. Contribute to accounting scheme definitions and impact assessments.
  22. Oversee testing and ensure proper application of IFRS standards in projects.

  23. Digital Transformation and Process Optimization

  24. Act as Project Lead for the Digital Closing initiative, driving automation of selected closing tasks, implementation of dashboards, calendars, and KPI tracking tools.
  25. Lead the replacement project of the BFC consolidation tool (starting 2026): scoping, design, implementation, testing, and go-live.
  26. Enhance communication and governance across teams, and promote continuous improvement in closing efficiency and data quality.

Required experience & competencies

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in consolidation under IFRS, ideally in an international group.
  • Project management experience would be appreciated in the frame of the next BFC replacement project
    Experience in an insurance/reinsurance Group would be appreciated
