About the TeamYou will join a young and dynamic team of 4 actuarial analysts. This team is at the heart of the company's steering process and strategic challenges related to our commitments to our policyholders.
Your MissionAs Reserving Actuary, you will be a technical reference and project leader for cross-functional initiatives. Your scope includes:
- Be the reserving point person on transversal Wakam SA projects.
- Lead projects within the Reserving team; set approach, timelines, deliverables.
- Mentor and upskill juniors, providing technical oversight and coaching.
- Perform reserving analyses and estimate ultimate losses across Wakam SA (France, Europe & Branch).
- Contribute to forecast and budget on loss activity and trends.
- Prepare, analyze and review Best Estimate calculations for the economic balance sheet and Solvency II reporting.
- Validate data quality used in calculations and drive remediation where needed.
- Run deep-dive actuarial analyses to enhance robustness of provisions.
- Monitor technical KPIs monthly (frequency, severity, IBNR run-off cadence, etc.).
- Continuously improve reserving processes, controls and tools.
- Master's degree (Bac+5) in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Econometrics.
- 3+ years' experience in Non-Life (P&C) reserving (minimum).
- Strong command of SAS, R and SQL (or equivalent analytical stack).
- Professional English fluency; French is a plus.
- A rigorous, structured approach and the ability to communicate complex results clearly.
- Analytical and synthesis-minded, with sharp business judgment.
- A team player who can also work autonomously and own outcomes.
- Methodical, detail-oriented, and pedagogical when presenting results.
- Proactive, improvement-oriented, and comfortable challenging the status quo constructively.
