What we do:

At Metyos we want to enable people to live healthier and longer through the first metabolic biowearable patch.

Our solution combines hardware and an interactive app to make health and nutrition decisions based on personalized real-time data collected thanks to biochemistry. Our first application is in chronic kidney disease, where the timely prevention based on fast acquired data can save millions of people from early need for dialysis and transplantation.

Our two founders, Alexandre and Olga, launched Metyos in 2021 to bring a game changing solution to patients and users together with bright engineers, doctors and user communities. We face exciting challenges of medical device market and deeptech start-up growth in general. We are searching for passionate interns to further strengthen our team. What you will do with us:

Learn a lot about the technical but also the strategic side of a startup company through close interaction with our founding team and other team members. Progress in your R&D mission but also discover many unexpected topics. Express your creativity, problem solving skills and enjoy "problem solved" parties.

As a biosensor R&D intern you will help the team to
develop and validate target specific electrochemical electrode systems
, which represents the major sensing part of our device. You will:

  • Conduct comprehensive bibliography review,
  • Conduct electrochemical experiments with implantable potentiometric and amperometry sensors,
  • Accurately generate, analyze, and present experimental data by building appropriate signal processing algorithms,
  • Validate the system both in laboratory-controlled conditions as well as
    in vivo.

Developed expertise: experimental set-up, real-time electrochemical biosensors, signal processing, biocompatibility requirements

As an early part of our team, you will actively participate in more transversal focus groups covering topics such as:

  • ·Sterilization and biotoxicity protocols writing
  • Industrialization processes,
  • Quality control and regulatory
  • Product design.

Our future team member is

  • Passionate about developing an innovating MedTech product and willing to discover a world of a start-up at its early stage,
  • Scientific background in fields such as chemistry or biomedical engineering with knowledge of chemistry/electrochemistry, material sciences or polymers is desirable,
  • With personal qualities among: curious, creative, action oriented, ambitious, humble, rigorous, adventurous, caring, team oriented (chose multiple).
