We are looking for a
Manufacturing Engineer
to join our team in Cernay. This role is crucial for overseeing and optimizing roll reconditioning processes in our workshop, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety while meeting customer requirements.

Your Responsibilities

• Define and implement efficient roll reconditioning processes.
• Optimize workflows to improve quality and reduce lead times.
• Standardize operating procedures, work instructions, and best practices.
• Analyze production data and KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
• Participate in defining tooling and equipment needs for roll maintenance.
• Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with maintenance and supply chain teams for resource allocation.
• Support quality inspections and resolve non-conformities.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to production teams.
• Lead continuous improvement projects using lean manufacturing principles.
• Identify opportunities for automation and digitalization in production.
• Train and mentor workshop teams on new production techniques.

What We're Looking For

• Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Production, or Manufacturing Technology.
• 3–5 years in production or manufacturing, ideally in roll maintenance, rotating equipment, or machining operations.
• Knowledge of mechanical processes for roll maintenance (machining, balancing), production planning, and process optimization.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking, excellent teamwork and communication, proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement.
• Fluent in French and English required; German will be considered a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (including Power Platform features).
