About My English Sister
My English Sister is a Lyon-based English language learning and childcare agency. Our mission is to support the English development of French children through fun, personalised tuition and care. Each year, we recruit a team of 30+ English-speaking brothers and sisters to work with families in cities across France.
We offer flexible, part-time roles ideal for students, language assistants, or young professionals looking to gain childcare or teaching experience, improve their French, and join a supportive, bilingual community.

Role Description
Collect the girl from school, walk her home, and supervise snack time followed by games and activities, all conducted in English. Encourage her to speak English as much as possible, offering support when needed. Lead fun, interactive activities like reading, drawing, arts & crafts, and games (e.g. Charades, I Spy, Pictionary, Songs etc) to help her build vocabulary in a natural, engaging way.
This family has worked with MES for 5 years and is looking forward to meeting their next English Sister.
Candidate Requirements:
- 6 months of childcare experience
- Fluent English (level C2)
- Energetic, creative and resourceful
