Are you passionate about working with advanced, professional service and want to work for a leading producer of test equipment, consumables and services for materialographic* analysis of solid materials? Are you technically inclined, independent with good knowledge of electricity and attracted by planning and controlling your work and are also used to working and starting from a home office? If, in addition to that, you also like to be on the move and hotel nights, maybe that's 4exactly who we are looking for on behalf of our client. You can expect up to 120 travel days a year with overnight stays.

As a service technician at Struers, you will work with maintaining and repairing an advanced product range, primarily within the steel, tool and automotive industries. The district covers the Rhône-Alpes area in France. We therefore believe that the ideal starting point for the assignment is in the vicinity of Lyon.

You will work in an international operation with the industry's most talented people. You will report to the Service Manager for Struers service in the Nordics, who is based in Copenhagen. There are already service technicians in France, Italy and Spain also a sales force that you work closely with.

You are a skilled Service Technician

The success criteria for the job will be to service and repair Struers machines that are used for quality control, among other things, in accordance with our standards and norms. You will work with large parts of Struers' product range, primarily in the steel, tool and automotive industries, and have the opportunity to explore less used areas of our product range. Your knowledge of mechanics and electronics is highly valued. If you are also good at pneumatics and hydraulics, it is a merit, but not essential.

The job involves, among other things:

• service trips for a large part of the year and primarily for preventive maintenance of equipment at customers.

• repair of equipment.

• installation of products and training of customers.

• telephone support of a technical nature to customers and various other tasks related to servicework.

• to act as an instructor/trainer in 2–3 workshops (service) during the year, if or when you feel ready for it.

• that you can work independently and are good at problem solving.

• that you will get to work with exciting products in an innovative and visionary environment at a world-leading and very international company.

• that you receive a thorough technical introduction, as well as training in all IT systems and our equipment in combination with colleagues, who support each other and collaborate in everyday life. This is a matter of course during your onboarding.

Skills and personality

We believe you have worked as a service technician for at least a couple of years. Definitely with experience in mechanics and electronics. Pneumatics and hydraulics is a plus.
