Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Truck Driver role based in Cape Town. The Truck Driver will be responsible for operating commercial trucks to transport materials and equipment to construction sites. Daily tasks include loading and unloading cargo, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, maintaining vehicle safety standards, and adhering to delivery schedules. Drivers will collaborate with the construction team to meet project needs efficiently and safely.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license and professional truck driving experience
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and best practices in transportation
- Experience in cargo loading, unloading, and securement
- Ability to inspect and maintain truck equipment to ensure safety
- Strong time management skills and on-road situational awareness
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications are a plus
- Experience in the construction industry is beneficial
