Shopify's Solutions Engineering (SE) team is our secret weapon, crucial in empathizing with customers, driving our business forward, and acting as internal product ambassadors to make commerce better for everyone. As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you'll leverage your technical expertise to craft solutions that align with the strategic goals of our most innovative clients and partner with sales teams to drive revenue growth through complex deal closure. You'll engage in high-impact projects, ensuring solutions meet merchant needs and drive the future of commerce.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Shopify's expansion into the LATAM market as our first regional Solutions Engineering hire, establishing best practices, building merchant relationships, and shaping our go-to-market strategy for Mexico and Latin America.
Own the technical relationship with strategic clients, leading requirements discovery, solution presentations, and Proof of Concept builds.
Collaborate with Sales and other teams to architect solutions from front-end design to backend integration.
Utilize Shopify's Hydrogen and Oxygen framework and Developer Documentation to extend platform capabilities.
Mentor and coach client-facing teams on technical aspects of Shopify's platform.
Travel for customer on-site visits as required (15-25%).

Qualifications:

Proven track record as a Pre-sales Engineer or Solution Architect in D2C, Retail, and B2B commerce.
Expertise in unified/omnichannel commerce and Shopify's platform and integrations.
Strong understanding of cloud technologies, SaaS and PaaS fundamentals, and technical strategy for commerce businesses.
Solutions mindset with experience in technical architecture, integration, and security.
Proficient in API knowledge (REST and GraphQL), and commerce-related concepts like headless, SEO, and omni-channel.
Excellent communication skills and a personable video conference presence.
Fluency in Spanish (written and verbal) for client-facing engagements.
Experience working with merchants in Mexico and Latin America markets. (preferred qualification)
