Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Marseille for the Head of Genomics & Transcriptomics Platform. The selected candidate will lead and supervise the daily operations of the genomics and transcriptomics related projects, ensuring optimization of workflows and experimental protocols in sample preparation (Nucleic Acid Extraction, Quality Control and Library preparation) sequencing and data management. Additional responsibilities include managing and collaborating on cross-functional R&D projects, ensuring compliance with quality standards, implementing innovative techniques, and further developing the service portfolio to meet evolving market needs.

Contract Type

Renewable fixed-term contract (CDD), with the possibility of transition to a permanent contract (CDI) based on performance.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree (MSc) or Engineering degree (equivalent to Bac+5) in biotechnology, genomics, or molecular biology
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
  • Strong expertise, At least three years in laboratory techniques: DNA/RNA extraction, library preparation (RNA-seq, DNA-seq, metagenomics, metatranscriptomics, small RNA, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of sequencing platforms, bioinformatics tools, and data analysis workflows for genomic and transcriptomic data
  • Strong understanding of quality standards in biotechnology and regulatory compliance requirements for research and industry
  • Proven ability to innovate and implement new methods or technologies
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Prior experience in an industrial or applied R&D environment is highly desirable
