Role Description
We are seeking a talented Organic Chemist to join our R&D team specializing in Plasma and Continuous Flow processes. In this full-time, on-site role based in Paris, you will be responsible for designing and conducting experiments in organic synthesis using plasma-based chemical processes. Your day-to-day responsibilities include developing new chemical methodologies, optimizing synthetic routes, and contributing to the industrial scale-up of production processes. Additionally, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to bring innovative solutions to life in sustainable industrial chemistry.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Organic Chemistry with experience in synthesizing complex molecules
- Proficiency in conventional and modern organic synthesis transformations, skills in radical chemistry or unconventional activation (photochemistry, electrochemistry, etc.)
- Proficiency in Laboratory Skills, such as handling chemical equipment and performing analytical techniques from characterization (NMR, GC/MS, HPLC) to purification (chromatography, distillation, crystallization)
- Experience in Research and Development (R&D), focusing on innovative and practical chemical solutions
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting Research and solving complex scientific challenges
- Excellent problem-solving, data analysis, and record-keeping abilities
- Fluency in English; proficiency in French is a plus
- PhD or engineering degree in organic chemistry, ideally with experience in fine chemistry, process chemistry, or industrial R&D
- Previous experience with continuous flow technologies is highly advantageous
