R&D Technician – Biotech Purification

We are supporting a growing biotechnology organisation in the Provence–Alpes–Côte d'Azur region of France that is expanding its laboratory and production capabilities. As part of a long-term workforce build, they are looking to hire several hands-on R&D Technicians with strong experience in biotech purification to join their core technical teams. These are permanent positions offering the opportunity to work in a science-driven environment focused on biologics, purification and process development. This role is designed for technicians who enjoy being in the lab, running experiments and working directly with purification systems rather than project or engineering-based roles.

Your Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on purification of biological products in an R&D and development laboratory
  • Operate and run chromatography systems used in downstream processing
  • Work with AKTA platforms and related purification equipment
  • Support process optimisation, scale-up and troubleshooting
  • Document experiments, results and deviations in line with quality standards
  • Work closely with scientists, engineers and analytical teams
  • Contribute to building a reliable purification platform for future manufacturing

Your Requirements

  • Previous experience as a biotech or laboratory technician (not an engineering profile)
  • Strong hands-on experience with AKTA systems and chromatography
  • Knowledge of biotech purification workflows
  • At least 3 years of relevant laboratory experience
  • Comfortable working on-site in a team-based laboratory environment
  • Good communication skills in an international setting
