CONTEXT AND PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The SeniorManager, Product Development Color & Material leads the global execution ofcolor, material (C&M) development across footwear categories. This role isresponsible for translating design and brand intent into scalable,manufacturable, and premium material executions, ensuring innovation, quality,cost targets, and speed-to-market are achieved.

Acting as acritical bridge between Design, Materials Innovation, Product Merchandising,Sourcing, and Manufacturing, this role sets standards, drives processexcellence, and leads teams across HQ Paris and Asia to deliver consumer-rightcolor and material solutions at scale.

MAIN REPONSIBILITIES
Leadership& Team Management

  • Lead,inspire, and develop global Color & Material Development team across HQ andAsia.
  • Setclear priorities, ways of working, and accountability across regions andcategories.
  • Coachand mentor senior developers, building strong succession and capabilitypipelines.
  • Fostera culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

ProductDevelopment & Innovation

  • Ownend-to-end color and material development from design handoff throughproduction approval.
  • Ensurefeasibility, manufacturability, durability, and performance meet brand andconsumer expectations.
  • Partnerwith Design and Materials teams to push innovation in materials, finishes,dyes, and sustainable solutions.
  • Translatecreative vision into scalable executions without compromising quality orintent.
  • Driveseasonal material strategies aligned to category, price point, and margintargets.

OperationalExcellence

  • Partnerwith Sourcing and Manufacturing to optimize cost, lead time, quality, andmaterial availability.
  • Establishand monitor KPIs across development timelines, material adoption, cost targets,and quality performance.
  • Leadseasonal development calendars and manage risk across multiple productpipelines.
  • Proactivelytroubleshoot material, color, or production challenges and implement scalablesolutions.

Cross-FunctionalCollaboration

  • Actas a key liaison between Design, Product Merch, CSR, Quality, and Supply Chain.
  • Influencelong-term material roadmaps and platform strategies with leadership andinnovation teams.
  • Ensuresustainability goals are embedded into material and color developmentdecisions.
  • Partnerwith leadership on strategic planning and future capability building.
  • Extensiveexperience in footwear color and material development, with proven peopleleadership experience.
  • Deeptechnical knowledge of materials, finishes, color application, dyeing, andmanufacturing processes.
  • Provenexperience managing cross-regional teams with direct exposure to Asianmanufacturing hubs.
  • Strongtrack record of delivering premium, innovative footwear at scale.
  • Strongproject and calendar management skills in fast-paced, consumer-drivenenvironments.
  • Excellentleadership, communication, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
  • Strongbusiness acumen with ability to balance creativity, cost, and scalability.
