The Role

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help us accelerate the development of a ruggedized, secure, and scalable video-intelligence platform running on embedded AI hardware used by European Special Forces, Special Units and Intelligence agencies.

You'll join a small, high-impact team working at the intersection of AI, video processing, and embedded systems. Your mission: implement and strengthen the software stack that powers real-time visual intelligence at the edge, from video ingestion and AI inference pipelines to system services, APIs, and secure remote management.

You'll work closely with ML, Platform, and Full-Stack engineers to bring production-grade robustness, performance, and maintainability to the edge.

Key Responsibilities

You'll primarily work on the embedded and backend layers contributing directly to our internal APIs and tools.

Design and implement embedded services (media handling, inference orchestration, device management, API layer) running on NVIDIA Jetson platforms.

Collaborate with ML engineers to integrate and optimize AI models within constrained environments.

Contribute to the design of secure, remotely managed devices (systemd daemons, OTA updates, encrypted storage, network isolation).

Build tools and abstractions for video streaming, telemetry, and data synchronization between edge and cloud components.

Ensure software reliability through CI/CD, monitoring, and automated testing pipelines.

Participate in the architecture and roadmap of our next-generation video-intelligence platform.

You'll have strong technical ownership and autonomy, but this is a hands-on engineering role.

Profile

5+ years of experience in software engineering, with strong fundamentals in Python.

Experience with video frameworks (GStreamer, FFmpeg, RTSP) and embedded Linux environments (Jetson or similar ARM platforms).

Familiarity with AI/ML inference on constrained hardware.

Solid understanding of networking, system services, and security best practices (firewalls, certificates, secure boot, etc.).

Comfortable with containerized environments and CI/CD for edge deployments.

Autonomous, pragmatic, and motivated by solving complex technical challenges that matter in the real world.

Bonus points for:

Experience with ruggedized or field-deployed devices (robotics, defense, telecom, industrial IoT).

Background in real-time systems or hardware integration.

Previous work in sensitive or mission-critical environments (aerospace, defense, law enforcement).
