Role Overview

A global organization operating at the intersection of investment and technology is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Data Platform & Analytics team. This team builds and maintains a highly available, enterprise-grade data platform used to evaluate and monitor investment performance across international markets.

This role sits at the heart of a modern data ecosystem and involves close collaboration with engineering, analytics, and infrastructure teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing scalable, secure, and resilient data solutions in a high-performance, fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, maintain, and enhance data pipelines and automation solutions that support multiple business and strategic use cases.
  • Act as the Snowflake expert, owning best practices around performance optimization, scalability, security controls, and data governance.
  • Partner with engineers, analysts, and platform teams to ensure reliable data flows and consistent governance standards.
  • Help drive the ongoing improvement of the data platform, including monitoring, automation, and adoption of modern engineering practices.
  • Contribute effectively in a collaborative, high-impact environment that values quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Database Engineering roles.
  • Strong practical experience with Snowflake, including schema design, performance tuning, access control (RBAC), and data sharing.
  • Proficiency in Python for building automation, data workflows, and integrating with Snowflake (e.g. Snowpark, connectors).
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience working with large-scale analytical datasets.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, medallion/lakehouse architectures, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience supporting global data platforms spanning multiple regions (e.g. Europe, APAC).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS (S3, IAM, PrivateLink).
  • Exposure to data orchestration and transformation tools such as Airflow and dbt.
