The Team
Join Alvarez & Marsal's Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) team in Paris, a dynamic and fast-growing group of professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional results for private equity firms and their portfolio companies. Our team operates at the intersection of strategy, operations, and finance, providing end-to-end services across the private equity lifecycle. From pre-acquisition due diligence to post-acquisition transformation, performance improvement, and exit support, we tackle complex challenges and create value at every stage.
As part of the PEPI team, you will work on high-impact projects, collaborating with experienced professionals who are passionate about driving change and delivering tangible results. How You Will Contribute
As an Intern in the PEPI team, you will play a key role in supporting private equity firms and their portfolio companies. Your responsibilities will include:
- Pre-Acquisition Support
: Assisting with operational due diligence, carve-outs, and merger integrations to evaluate and prepare businesses for acquisition. - Performance Improvement
: Supporting transformation initiatives, identifying opportunities for operational efficiency, and driving value creation. - Financial Analysis
: Developing financial models, including cash flow projections, and analyzing key trends to provide actionable insights. - Research and Reporting
: Synthesizing data and research into high-quality client reports and recommendations. - Client Engagement
: Collaborating with senior team members to prepare client pitches and presentations, contributing to impactful client interactions. - Problem Solving
: Identifying key business performance drivers and providing innovative solutions to complex challenges.

Qualifications
We are looking for ambitious and talented individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Currently studying at a leading "Grande École" in Business and/or Engineering, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French (additional European languages such as Dutch, German, Italian, or Spanish are a plus).
- Proficiency in Excel, with some experience in financial modeling.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong interest in consulting and private equity, with a desire to learn and grow in a dynamic team.
