As a Management Consultant, you will be responsible for managing and delivering our clients' internal projects. They will mainly focus on transformation and can take place within different departments depending on the scope of the project: Securities Operations (Custody, Clearing, Fund Services), Front Office to Back Office, Risk Management, Finance & Accounting, Legal & Compliance.

In this role, you will perform project management, data and activity analysis, interviews with operational staff, process & systems mapping, benchmarking, and other tools to determine where and how to optimize profitability and efficiency of their organisation. Part of the position includes written and oral feedback, presentation materials, and the capability to raise alerts and critiques when necessary.

Good relationship skills and excellent communication skills are essential as you will work directly side-by-side with the client's teams, to enhance their skills and remove any barriers to change.

In the meantime, you will have to demonstrate your capability to communicate effectively across multiple levels and stakeholder groups of an organization.

Daily Responsibilities at-a-glance

Operational Analysis & Diagnostics :

  • Data collection and activity analysis
  • Interviews with operational functional stakeholders
  • Identification of inefficiencies, risks and improvement opportunities with a specific focus on AML risk coverage, alert relevance, and threshold effectiveness
  • Analysis of AML/ CFT control frameworks and monitoring process
  • Gap Analysis and internal control

Project Management :

  • End-to-End management consulting of workstreams
  • Structuring activities, timelines, dependencies and deliverables (across Compliance, Risk, Operations, IT and Securities teams)
  • Supporting Project Management Office (PMO) activities
  • Definition and Maintenance of Project Governance (RAID logs, KPIs, decision tracking & escalation mechanisms)
  • Ensuring Delivery alignment with applicable regulatory frameworks and internal controls

Process & Systems Assessment :

  • Mapping and documentation of end-to-end processes and supporting systems with a focus on financial securities and asset servicing activities
  • Analysis of workflows, controls and handoffs used for risk assessment and alerting
  • Identification of optimization and simplification levers
  • Assessment of functional interactions between business processes and transaction monitoring, screening and risk-scoring systems
  • Evaluation of process and system alignment with internal control standards, compliance frameworks, and regulatory expectations

Benchmarking & Best Practices :

  • Benchmarking organisational performance, processes, and systems against industry standards
  • Identification of best practices applicable to the client's operating model
  • Translation of external benchmarks into actionable recommendations aligned with internal governance and control frameworks

Stakeholder Communication & Change Support :

  • Preparation and delivery of written and oral feedback to stakeholders
  • Development of presentation materials for management and governance forums
  • Supporting alignment, adoption, and decision-making across teams

Risk Identification & Escalation :

  • Proactive identification of delivery risks, issues, and gaps, raising alerts, formulating critiques, and supporting corrective action plans

Expected Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong educational qualifications (Master Degree / Masters in Business Administration preferred) with a focus on finance, risk or compliance
  • A minimum of 7 years operational experience within a financial institution
    , ideally within
    Securities Services, Custody, Clearing, Fund Administration, Issuer Services or closely related areas
  • Proven PMO or project management experience in complex, multi-entity or global banking projects
  • Team player, with a natural leadership and excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of and interest in the financial industry
  • Functional expertise in securities operations, threshold calibration, or AML monitoring is highly desirable
  • Experience with data quality, analytics, and reporting in financial operations or AML monitoring is preferred
  • Result-oriented, analytical mind able to keep the big picture and synthesize conclusions
  • Autonomous, rigorous dynamic and commitment to success
  • Fluent English is a must. Additional languages are appreciated
  • Prepared to participate in temporary assignments in other countries in Asia-Pacific.
  • Prior management consulting experience preferred
