Our client is a leading provider of occupational injury care services in the Southwestern United States, serving employers with integrated care. Services include medical injury care, physical therapy rehabilitation, employment-related physical exams, and employee testing and screening programs.

Job Description:
This is a unique Profee coding auditor and educator role supporting
Physical Therapy, Occupational Medicine, and Workers' Compensation
providers. The role involves auditing provider E/M coding, providing education on guidelines and missed coding opportunities, and collaborating with an offshore coding team. The position is fully remote but may require
1–3 on-site educational/training sessions per year
.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit provider E/M coding for Physical Therapy, Occupational Medicine, and Workers' Compensation claims
  • Provide individual and group education sessions via TEAMS; occasional large on-site presentations 1–3 times/year
  • Collaborate with offshore coding teams when needed
  • Ensure coding is compliant with current guidelines and identify missed opportunities
  • Work across 200 providers in CO, AZ, CA, and NV
  • Adapt to evolving workflows and project needs
  • Travel as required (client covers all expenses)

Qualifications:

  • Active AAPC certification
  • Strong experience in Profee auditing and provider education
  • Experience with Physical Therapy and Occupational Medicine coding preferred; can train a strong E/M candidate
  • Able to articulate coding feedback clearly and professionally to providers
  • Presentable, professional, and able to maintain integrity and confidentiality
  • Proven ability to work independently and hit the ground running

  • Systoc (medical records)
  • Data Dimensions (clearinghouse)
  • Candidate must provide own encoder or coding books

  • Number of Openings: 1
  • Schedule: Flexible, must be available during daytime hours in CST, MST, or PST; full-time role
  • Training: With Revenue Cycle trainer initially, then ongoing support from Director
  • Equipment: Addison Equipment provided
  • IT Access: 48–72 hours; standard access information required
