CMA Ships, a subsidiary of the CMA CGM Group, covers all facets of the maritime business: from the fleet management of the vessels to that of the crew members.
CMA Ships is also a team of experts responsible for implementing innovative solutions and making CMA CGM vessels more energy efficient.
THE ROLE
The aim of this position is to ensure the successful planning, execution, and delivery of IT Digitalization projects, aligning with organizational objectives and ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines. The IT Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams and implement best practices in project management to drive operational excellence.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?
As per company standards, you shall:
• Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations.
• Ensure all your duties are performed in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental, and ethics policies.
• Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis.
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of IT Digitalization projects, from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely resolution of issues that may arise.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project deliverables.
• Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with financial goals.
• Oversee the work of cross-functional project teams, ensuring clear communication and accountability.
• Utilize project management tools and methodologies to track progress and performance.
• Facilitate stakeholder communication, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and improve future processes.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) is a plus.
Experience
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT project management or a similar role.
• Proven track record of delivering IT projects on time and within budget.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in software development, IT infrastructure, or system implementation projects in Maritime industry is preferred.
Special knowledge and skills
• Familiarity with Ship Management operations and ability to collaborate with its teams.
• Strong written and oral presentation skills, with clear and structured communication.
• Strong understanding of IT systems, software development lifecycle, and infrastructure.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Technical job skills
• Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project, or similar.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
