Originally based in Hasparren, the LAUAK Group has been built over the years through various acquisitions and the creation of new factories. Today, the LAUAK Group has 9 international locations in France, Portugal, Canada, Mexico and India.
Today, the Group is one of the main manufacturer-suppliers of primary components, sub-assemblies and assemblies for the aeronautics industry.
MissionThis is a leadership role responsible for the Human Resources function of Wipro Lauak globally across manufacturing facilities and offices located in France, Portugal, Canada, Mexico and India.
To shape and execute a unified global people strategy that enables sustainable business success. Lead transformation through class leading talent practices to attract, develop, and retain top talent, strengthen organizational capability, design competitive and equitable rewards, foster a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and innovation, and position Wipro Lauak as an employer of choice. Champion the values of the group and act as a cultural bridge across Wipro Lauak and Wipro Aerospace global operations.
The role would report into the VP – HR, Wipro Infrastructure Engineering and CEO – Wipro Lauak. HR teams of all Wipro Lauak facilities would report into this position.
Key Responsibilities
Workforce Planning and Resourcing
Working with Business Leadership to implement optimal resourcing plans and organisation structures to meet business needs
- Evolve appropriate hiring strategies and employer branding initiatives to attract the best talent across manufacturing locations to support business needs
- Ensure implementation of programs to ensure optimal availability of skilled manpower for operations
HR Integration
Develop and execute post- acquisition HR integration strategies, focusing on cultural alignment, values, policies, people processes, and organizational structures.
- Act as a cultural bridge and champion across Wipro Lauak facilities and with global Wipro Leadership
- Strengthen capability of the HR function to deliver superior employee experience
Talent Management
Institute and lead talent processes including Performance Management, Talent Reviews, Succession Planning, 360° Feedback.
- Strengthening leadership bench strength in identified pockets through a mix of hiring, rotations, leadership development
- Enhance employee lifecycle processes—from onboarding to retirement—to deliver a superior employee experience
- Facilitate SKIP-level and Manager Assimilation sessions for key leadership roles.
- Drive Reward & Recognition initiatives that reinforce desired behaviors and organizational values.
Employee Engagement and Employee Relations
Leading implementation of initiatives around employee engagement, welfare, safety, productivity, quality along with cross functional teams across Plants
- Adherence to legal and statutory compliances across locations
- Ensuring harmonious Industrial Relations – for unionised and non-unionised plants. Ensuring long term settlements / wage negotiations are concluded smoothly and as per business needs
- Driving Community and social volunteering initiatives
Learning
Collaborate with business leaders to deploy learning and leadership development programs tailored to organizational needs.
- Implementation of Training programs and initiatives aimed at capability and skill building across locations
Compensation & Benefits
Oversee budgeting, planning, and execution of annual merit cycles.
- Conduct regular benchmarking and policy reviews to maintain competitiveness and employee satisfaction.
HR Technology & Digitization
Partner with IT, HR, and business stakeholders to implement digital solutions in performance management, compensation, recognition, learning, and analytics
- Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies and processes
- French national with 15 to 20 years in HR leadership roles in global engineering / manufacturing organisations. Postgraduate in management / human resources or related disciplines
- Strong Knowledge of the Metallurgy Collective Agreement
- First significant experience in an industrial environment required
- Exposure to cross-cultural environments. Ability to influence and drive change in a global, and matrixed organization
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach
- Willingness to travel and visit global facilities
- Proficiency in French and English is mandatory. Additionally, knowledge of Portuguese and Spanish would be an added advantage
