For over ten years, Chargemap has been working to make electric vehicle charging simpler. Recognised as a leading player in France, we support millions of drivers and many companies with reliable, accessible solutions designed for real-world use.
Our products cover the entire user and customer journey:
a free mobile app widely used across Europe;
the Chargemap Pass, providing access to a large network of charging stations;
a comprehensive B2B solution to manage employee charging;
tools for charging networks to improve service quality and monitoring.
Based in Strasbourg, we are a team of over 100 passionate people who strongly believe that electric mobility is a key driver of the energy transition. We are growing in an ambitious, responsible and sustainable way.
The electric mobility sector is evolving rapidly, and Chargemap is growing fast while gradually expanding internationally.
To support this growth and better anticipate the regulatory changes that shape our activity, we are creating a permanent Public Affairs Manager position. The role focuses on building clear and constructive dialogue with institutions, anticipating upcoming regulatory developments and helping our teams prepare for them.
This position will help strengthen Chargemap's credibility and contribute, at our level, to building a more coherent and accessible charging ecosystem for electric vehicle drivers.
Reporting to Tiphanie, our CMO, your responsibilities will include :
Define the national and European public affairs strategyWorking closely with the CEO and the CMO, you will design and lead Chargemap's public affairs and regulatory monitoring strategy at both European and national levels, in line with the Group's objectives.
You will identify priority topics, key levers and relevant stakeholders — including European institutions, national governments and regulators — to shape our positions and anticipate developments that structure the market.
You will help position Chargemap as a trusted and relevant stakeholder, recognised both in Brussels and at national level, making dialogue easier and strengthening our visibility in a highly regulated environment.
You will build and maintain strong relationships with European public authorities (European Commission, Parliament, EU agencies) and national bodies (ministries, central administrations, ministerial offices), as well as regulators and industry associations.
You will take part in working groups and strategic forums at both European level (European Commission, ChargeUp Europe, etc.) and French level (AVERE France, CRE, professional federations), contributing to sector discussions and defending the Group's priorities.
Depending on the topic, you will involve relevant internal stakeholders (CMO, Sales Director, internal teams) to support positions or provide expert input.
You will develop and share clear, accessible messaging on regulatory topics, whether European (interoperability, AFIR, standards) or national (pricing transparency, service obligations, energy regulation).
You will help build a consistent narrative over time, clarifying the Group's role within the French and European ecosystem and strengthening its credibility with institutions and industry stakeholders.
You will prepare and coordinate institutional communications, such as opinion pieces, public statements, briefing notes and analytical papers.
You will actively monitor legal and regulatory developments at both European and national levels, identifying risks and opportunities for the Group and anticipating changes to allow timely adjustments to products and strategy.
You will analyse the practical impact of draft and upcoming regulations in close collaboration with Legal, Product, Data and Development teams, and translate them into clear operational recommendations.
You will share your analyses with the Executive Committee and internal teams to support decision-making, prioritisation and cross-functional alignment on regulatory matters.
These responsibilities are not set in stone and may evolve depending on business needs and your areas of interest.
The salary range is between €40,000 and €45,000 gross per year. This is complemented by a performance-based profit-sharing scheme, which can reach up to 12% of the annual gross salary.
Joining us also means enjoying the following benefits:
The possibility to work remotely up to four days per week after an initial onboarding and training period;
A sustainable mobility allowance of up to €300 per year to encourage eco-friendly transportation (cycling, carpooling, etc.);
