Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled
Wi-Fi Site Survey & Design Engineer
to perform on-site wireless audits, design, and optimization for enterprise networks across France. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Wi-Fi site surveys, RF planning, and enterprise wireless systems, and be capable of delivering detailed technical reports and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
On-Site Wi-Fi Audits:
Conduct active and passive Wi-Fi site surveys using network terminals and measurement tools.
Measure signal strength, attenuation, and overall coverage quality to assess wireless performance.
Access Point (AP) Planning & Deployment Details:
Determine optimal physical locations for Wi-Fi APs and intermediate network cabinets (racks/switches).
Specify mounting methods, orientation, and cabling paths.
Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare comprehensive reports including audit results, coverage maps, and integration recommendations.
- Create a bill of materials listing all required hardware and software.
Use client-specific internal reporting tools (training provided).
Collaboration & On-Site Work:
Work independently on client sites across different regions in France.
- Liaise with project teams to ensure seamless implementation of wireless networks.
Technical Skills & Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in Wi-Fi site surveys (active & passive).
- Expertise in RF planning and propagation.
- Proficiency with Wi-Fi design tools such as
Ekahau
,
AirMagnet Survey
, or equivalent. - Knowledge of enterprise wireless systems (Huawei, Aruba, Ruckus).
- Understanding of
LAN switching
, network racks, and basic cabling layouts. - Familiarity with measurement and testing tools for Wi-Fi coverage analysis.
Soft Skills & Other Requirements:
- Fluency in
French
preferred;
English
acceptable if technical expertise is strong. - Ability to work independently in various locations across France.
- Strong
report writing
and documentation skills.
