The position is offered in the ASiC team of the Digital Plant - Modicon line of business, in the Industry Business Unit of Schneider Electric.
The ASiC team has the following missions:
- Define the high level and detailed embedded features integrated in System on Chips of the X80 range of Industrial Automation Products
- Define the hardware architecture of the X80 range
- Define communication protocols (proprietary or standards based) with strong orientation on Ethernet protocols (Sercos, Ethercat, PRP, TSN, HSR, …..), but also on Ethernet Physical Layer (MAC, SWITCH, PHYs, IEEE1588 ….)
- Define high value-added features of the system\: high availability, safety, cybersecurity, performance, memory, communication, power consumption
The team intervenes on the complete product lifecycle:
- Technology roadmap (ASICs, FPGAs, System on Chips, Memory, Ethernet)
- Product definition of CPU & IO Architecture
- Strong involvement in development of ASiCs/FPGAs dedicated to CPU & IO
- Maintenance and evolution of mature offers
Mission description
The experienced ASIC designer will:
- Drive the early definition of new system on chip, by bringing his/her multi-discipline talent to assess the feasibility of the project, propose architectures and technologies, …
- Depending on project size, drive a small execution group to produce features and deliverables, or bring his/her contribution to a specific ASiCs & System on Chip area of the project execution
- Validate the technical hypothesis and the models on the real product in simulation when it is needed.
- Participate to maintenance and evolution of the products when they enter into maturity phase
Experienced great professional
- Graduated from high school in Electronic
- at least 10-year experience in the design of complex system on chip
- Fluent English
