About The Role
Reporting to the Service Execution Manager the Service Engineer upgrades is responsible for the technical coordination and execution performance of assigned service orders within the Sub-Region and for providing global field services technical expertise.

This technical role is an essential member of the Service Execution team and has a positive impact on the regional results and the overall success of the business. This role provides technical responsibility over service orders including quotation (support); on- and off-site coordination; define resource, tools and material requirements; reporting and customer contacts mainly to support the upgrades (service projects).

The Service engineer upgrade provides best in class Service operations and will execute his tasks in accordance with best practice processes and procedures. The Service engineer upgrade will also follow the processes and behaviors to ensure service projects /commitments are completed safely, timely, within budget and focused on customer satisfaction.

The Service engineer upgrade will contribute to build and sustain our culture of customer centricity, execution excellence and team collaboration.

About Your Responsibilities At SPX Flow
Ensure successful execution of the following Service activities that take place:

  • Drive a culture of Service Excellence, which results in a first-class customer experience and positive customer satisfaction scores.
  • Be a player/coach for the service execution tasks
  • Together with the Service Project Manager, to manage the execution of Service orders for upgrades/projects from the sales team hand-over up to the final acceptance from customers
  • Partner with the other Services and Systems Execution functions for resolutions, risks management and technology. For example: Installation & Commissioning, automation, engineering, quality etc.
  • Complies with SPX Flow project execution processes, methods and tools
  • Acts like a site leader for service projects/upgrades : compliance with the site EH&S plan, SPX team coordination including SPX contractors, in relation with the customer, Communication on site, reporting to the Project Manager, etc
  • Acts like installation & commissioning leader on site : Site review (quality controls, level of installation completion, technical support, works coordination, etc
  • Management of the risks and opportunities, quality control and procedures associated with service execution.
  • Work closely with the Service Coordinator team to ensure seamless execution leading to customer's invoicing.
  • Partner with Service Coordinators for deliveries and lead times of service items.
  • Partner with Warranty Service Manager for quality issues. Monitoring open warranties/claims up to their closure
  • Committing to EHS rules to ensure that all Service execution activities are completed in a safe manner and to SPX Flow or customer specific standards.
  • Supports the Sales function for service activities in a timely and efficient manner.
  • To support the service technicians/engineers and share the knowledge/skills with them.
  • Support on the Accounts Receivables to the Service Manager
  • Compliance of all relevant SPX policies and procedures, including business ethics, data protection and health & safety.

  • Broad organizational business acumen.
  • Good understanding of the SPX Flow equipment and processes or skillset to learn it.
  • Exhibits the ability to handle complexity, multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy.

  • Positive thinker, able to see solutions on critical situations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French, additionally to English

Education And Experience

  • Technical bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in a service-related field is required
  • 5-10 years related experience in handling complex interventions in the N&H industry
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be computer efficient (Word, Excel, Outlook and SAP experience).
  • Driving license.
