YOUR ROLE

The Ports & Terminals Purchasing department's main mission is to purchase handling services from suppliers, namely port terminals, to enable shipping lines to call at ports under optimal conditions, at the best cost and with the expected quality of service.

As part of the Digital Procurement team, you will contribute to the reliability of the digital tools used by buyers, in particular Qlik Sense and Quickbase, by ensuring the quality and consistency of data across all of the department's systems.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?

Under the responsibility of the Digital/BI Manager, the intern will participate in the continuous improvement of data quality and the reliability of the department's KPIs.

  1. Data control and quality


• Check consistency / Identify inconsistencies between different systems (Qlik Sense, Quickbase, internal databases) by comparing with source data.


• Identify and document anomalies: missing, outdated or inconsistent data.


• Analyse data at different levels of granularity (volumes, costs, unit costs, prices, terminal productivity, etc.).


• Help improve the reliability of supplier databases.


• Assist with the maintenance and updating of reference databases (suppliers, terminals, etc.). .

  1. Implementation and monitoring of control KPIs


• Define and implement data quality indicators.


• Ensure that data remains accurate and consistent throughout its usage cycle.


• Participate in the creation of test books to validate published KPIs.


• Document tests and propose corrective actions or simple automations.

  1. Cross-functional analyses


• Contribute to the valuation of discounts in line revenue, in particular by verifying the quality of Finance provisions vs. provisions communicated by Ports & Terminals. 


• Participate in the reorganisation of the department's SharePoint and the implementation of a space under Digidoc for the storage and management of contracts.

Profile description:

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

  • You are currently enrolled in a Master's 1 or 2 programme in the field of statistical studies, data analysis, business intelligence or management control/auditing, with a genuine interest in data and tools.
  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • You are proficient in Office and Excel in particular (formulas, pivot tables, VBA, etc.).
  • You have a basic knowledge of SQL and/or Python and a good understanding of performance indicators and business processes.
  • You are comfortable in interpersonal relationships, have excellent interpersonal skills and are able to express yourself freely with all types of people.
  • Your rigour, team spirit and appetite for digital environments will enable you to easily adapt to this supportive team.
