The Opportunity:

As DSS+ grows across Europe there are several opportunities for Independent Consultants with experience in Operational Risk Management projects including SIF Protocols and solution design.

DSS+ offers a range of full-time and part-time projects across the country. As you would expect, we are flexible in the application of our resources and work hard to ensure our freelance community achieve the balance they look for when working as an Independent Contractor.

Job requirements

About You:

You will be an expert in operational risk management with experience in plant and facility management positions enabling you to have a broad overview or safety and risk management in the broader context of managing operations within heavy and hazardous industries and environments. 

Ideally, you will have extensive experience in coaching and supporting the change of culture and behaviours at all levels. 

As an independent consultant or freelancer, you will be looking for opportunities to work on a range of projects across Europe.

Our independent contractors usually have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree in Engineering. A Masters or MBA post Bachelors' degree in Engineering will be a plus

  • 7-10 years of Operations Risk Management (ORM) experience either in industry or with a leading consultancy.

  • Broad understanding of ORM and how different management and operations elements are linked together.

  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in application / facilitation of a wide range of risk analysis and risk management techniques.

  • Behavior-based Safety experience

  • Workplace Safety experience (WPS)

  • Experience in audit/ design background

  • Ability to effectively deliver training and coaching sessions to senior executives to build/strengthen capabilities.

  • Operational and commercial due diligence experience is a plus

  • Executive gravitas, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to impactfully interact with clients at all levels
