Allow us to introduce ourselves.
At dss+, we are not just a conventional operations consulting firm; we are implementers and change makers. Our passion lies in engaging organisations to craft resilient and sustainable businesses, guiding them through transformational changes in sustainability, safety, risk and resilience and through their energy transition. We take the complex world of risk and sustainability and translate it into actionable roadmaps that work with our client's businesses. We implement, working side-by-side with our clients to deliver real, tangible impact and results.
dss+ services fall into three core areas, sustainability, operational risk management, operational excellence, each bolstered by learning, development and culture change solutions and digital technologies. Teams around the globe work with clients in metals and mining, chemicals, oil and gas, power and utilities, agriculture, food and beverage, industrial and manufacturing, and private equity.
We pride ourselves in combining industry experts and on the ground experience with strong people-centric change management capabilities. This creates the perfect blend to support our clients from intent to impact, enabling them to protect what they care for, transform their organisation, and sustain the changes required to make their vision a reality, in a practical actionable way.
The role
As an Business Analyst within the Sustainable Finance team, you will play a vital role in delivering client work across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You will work closely with experienced consultants to support predominantly private equity and private debt investors on projects related to responsible investment, climate risk & resilience, impact investing, and sustainability due diligence.
Your focus will be on research, analysis, and coordination to ensure the quality and impact of client deliverables. The role provides strong exposure to investor clients and significant opportunities for learning and growth within an international, purpose-driven team.
Key responsibilities
Support delivery of responsible investment and sustainability advisory projects for private market investors and their portfolio companies.
Conduct research and analysis on ESG and impact trends, regulations, frameworks, and market practices (e.g., CSRD, SFDR, EU Taxonomy, SBTi, NZIF, SDG/SDI frameworks).
Prepare materials such as ESG maturity assessments, benchmark analyses, due diligence reports, and climate or impact assessments.
Contribute to quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including ESG performance metrics, KPI development, and emissions baselining.
Assist in preparing client presentations, proposals, and reports with clear, concise, and visually engaging communication.
Coordinate with global team members and subject-matter experts to ensure timely delivery of project outputs.
Actively contribute to internal knowledge development, templates, and thought leadership initiatives within the Sustainable Finance team.
Who are you?
You are motivated by the intersection of finance and sustainability and eager to learn how capital can drive systemic change. You thrive in analytical and fast-paced environments, pay attention to detail, and enjoy working collaboratively in international teams.
To be successful, you'll demonstrate:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Sustainability, Business, International Relations, or Engineering.
1–3 years of experience in consulting, finance, or sustainability (internships or entry-level roles welcome).
Analytical, research, and writing skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with data analysis tools or ESG databases is a plus.
Good understanding of sustainability and ESG topics, ideally in an investment or corporate context.
Excellent English written and verbal communication; additional language skills (e.g., French, German, Spanish, or Arabic) are a strong asset.
Proactive, reliable, and organized, with a collaborative mindset and curiosity to learn.
What we offer

A dynamic, global, and supportive team of passionate professionals.
Structured learning and development opportunities with mentorship from experienced colleagues.
