As a Systems Engineer SME, you will provide expert leadership in planning, designing, and implementing sophisticated additions and changes to network hardware, infrastructure server environments, and operating systems with special emphasis on Top Secret classification enclaves. Your extensive expertise in Nutanix hyper-converged infrastructure will be critical to architecting and maintaining advanced systems that support the forensic and investigative ecosystem across highly sensitive environments. You will ensure the reliability, security, and robustness of mission-critical infrastructure while meeting the stringent requirements of classified operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and lead implementation of enterprise-grade additions and changes to network hardware, infrastructure server environments, and operating systems in Top Secret environments.
- Provide advanced technical leadership in the day-to-day operations of sophisticated network hardware and operating systems within classified domains.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts at both physical and logical network levels for complex systems in TS environment.
- Direct the planning, design, technical review, and implementation strategies for new network infrastructure supporting classified operations.
- Lead systems management and integration functions across multi-enclave environments with focus on Top Secret infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve complex communication problems within secure, isolated environments.
- Implement comprehensive systems security strategies ensuring all systems are current with approved patches while leading certification and accreditation tasks for TS environments.
- Develop and implement advanced strategies for client/server systems and design infrastructure optimized for classified operations.
- Lead technical discussions during Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities.
- Champion DevSecOps practices and tools implementation within Top Secret environments.
- Design and implement advanced Nutanix hyper-converged infrastructure solutions for classified workloads.
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree with 10 years of experience OR Associate degree with 13 years of experience OR High School diploma with 16 years of experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in systems engineering with at least 4 years working in Top Secret environments.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Nutanix hyper-converged infrastructure in secure environments.
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and ability to obtain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Experience with SAFe Agile framework in classified environments.
- Comprehensive understanding of forensic and investigative system requirements for intelligence operations.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing secure systems in Top Secret government environments.
- Nutanix certifications (NCP, NPX) preferred.
- Security certifications (CISSP, Security+) preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with:
- Nutanix hyper-converged infrastructure design, implementation, and management in classified environments
- Advanced virtualization technologies (VSphere, VXRail, Proxmox, Nutanix AHV) for secure environments
- Enterprise network administration and security for Top Secret enclaves
- Cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, SC2S, C2S) implementation with security controls for classified workloads
- Linux and Windows operating systems with security hardening for classified use
- Windows Active Directory configuration and security in air-gapped environments
- Network hardware (Cisco, SonicWall) implementation and management in classified networks
- Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) in Top Secret environments with enhanced security controls
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for secure, automated deployments
- Security accreditation processes (RMF, NIST for TS/SCI systems
- Advanced system monitoring and observability in classified environments
- Cross-domain solutions for secure data transfer between classification levels
- May require flexible scheduling to support critical operations in Top Secret environments.
- Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
- Experience implementing Nutanix solutions in classified environments.
- Knowledge of specialized security controls for classified hyper-converged infrastructure.
- Background in designing systems for SCIFs and other secure facilities.
- Experience with cross-domain solutions in Top Secret environments.
- Prior work implementing secure backup and disaster recovery solutions for classified data.
- Experience with specialized compute and storage requirements for forensic workloads.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.
