We are seeking an
IMS System Programmer
to join our team at a client's facility in
Lyon
.

Job Description:

You will become a member of the global IMS team, you will be assigned to various tasks as an IMS Systems Programmer, in both run-time and one time.

Supporting shared services for different customers for technical activities related to your expertise. You need to have an in-depth knowledge of the intermediate to advanced tasks required in generating and installing an IMS system, tailoring it for performance and service level maintenance, and generally supporting the daily operations and administration of IMS

This position requires a strong understanding of IMS infrastructure, administration, and troubleshooting.

Also, you should be able to work effectively in a complex, high-availability environment.

The area to support is IMS

• Troubleshooting and Support
• Planning and implementation of software and management of existing
• Lifecycle management and further development within the IMS area
• Plan and perform DR (Disaster Recovery)
• Provide technical consultation to other areas of the company
• Plan and perform Health Checks and Analysis· Work on automation of tasks (incl. checks) and issues

Mandatory Language requirements: English and French

Qualifications:

• 5 to 10+ years of experience as an IMS Systems Programmer.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Availability for on-call support as needed.
• Experience with IMS performance tuning and optimization.

Mandatory Skills:

• Very good knowledge of IMS environments and database organization
• Very good knowledge about components (DLI and DBRC)
• Define, install, and modify IMS resources, including databases, programs, and transactions using DRD
• Configure and manage IMS in a parallel sysplex environment ensuring high availability.
• Knowledge of IMS Catalog and managed ACBs.
• Very good knowledge about logical data model
• z/OS skills, JCL.
• IMSTOOLS, SYSVIEW, CCDC
• Automation: Netview
• Programming: JCL, Rexx, DL/1, ISPF

Secondary/preferred skills:

• Programming: Assembler.
• MQ, DB2, CICS
• ACF2, RACF, TOP SECRET
• Basic knowledge of creation and modification of exits written in Assembler language
• Knowledge of SMP/E and proven experience of mainframe software upgrades
