About the Role

As an SAP S/4HANA R2R Solution Architect, you will be the driving force behind large-scale, global finance and business transformation programs. You will leverage deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO) and the end-to-end Record-to-Report process to design, architect, and deliver innovative, scalable, and compliant solutions. This pivotal role requires a blend of hands-on configuration skills, strategic client advisory, and leadership in ensuring delivery excellence across multi-national project teams. You will act as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders, translating complex business requirements into future-state SAP architectures that align with industry best practices and global regulatory standards (e.g. GAAP, IFRS).

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design:

• Lead the design and blueprinting phases of SAP S/4HANA Greenfield, Brownfield, or Hybrid implementation projects, focusing specifically on the Record-to-Report (R2R) process. Primarily with S/4HANA Private (RISE) but knowledge of S/4HANA Public (GROW) an advantage.
• Define end-to-end solution architecture for core R2R processes, including General Ledger (GL) Accounting, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Intercompany Accounting and Reconciliation, Financial Close, and Consolidation (Group Reporting).
• Translate complex business objectives and requirements into actionable, integrated, and technical SAP solutions and process maps.
• Ensure solution designs adhere to architectural governance frameworks, enterprise architecture principles, and industry best practices (SAP Activate, Clean Core principles).

Client Advisory & Stakeholder Management:

• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior business stakeholders (CFOs, Controllers, Finance Directors), guiding them through their S/4HANA transformation journey and roadmap decisions.
• Lead and facilitate complex workshops (fit-to-standard, gap analysis, blueprinting) with global and regional stakeholders to gather requirements and drive consensus on future-state design.
• Clearly articulate the value proposition of SAP S/4HANA innovations (e.g., Fiori UX, Embedded Analytics, SAP BTP integration, AI/ML capabilities) to clients, balancing strategic value with technical feasibility.

Delivery Excellence & Execution:

• Provide leadership and subject matter expertise to cross-functional, global delivery teams (functional, technical, data, and integration teams) to ensure cohesive and traceable solution delivery.
• Oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle, including configuration, testing (Unit, SIT, UAT), data migration strategy, change management support, and transition to Application Management Support (AMS).
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges associated with large-scale S/4HANA implementations, managing issues and dependencies effectively.
• Drive the adoption of automation and continuous improvement within R2R processes leveraging S/4HANA functionalities.

Required Experience & Qualifications

Experience (Industry and Consulting):

• Minimum 10+ years of overall SAP experience
  in functional consulting or solution architecture roles, with a strong focus on SAP Finance (FI/CO).
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance
  , having participated in at least two full, end-to-end S/4HANA implementation or transformation projects (Greenfield/Brownfield).
• Deep expertise in the end-to-end Record-to-Report business process flow and its integration touchpoints with other modules (Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, etc.).
• Proven track record of delivering solutions within a consulting environment, managing client expectations, and leading delivery teams (onshore/offshore models).
• Knowledge of SAP Analytics solutions, for example Datasphere or Business Data Cloud an advantage
• Experience with financial reporting requirements and regulatory compliance (e.g., IFRS, USGAAP, SoX etc.), including knowledge of taxation procedures and statutory requirements.

Qualifications & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• Accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACMA, M.Com, OEC, WPK) is highly beneficial.
• SAP S/4HANA Certification(s) in Finance/FI-CO is a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with project methodologies such as SAP Activate, Agile, and Waterfall.
• Familiarity with and certification in SAP Signavio and LeanIX

Pay Range:

Base Salary: $1,75,550per annum to $2,20,000 per annum; Full-time; Mid-Senior level plus.

In addition, we offer a commission which is dependent on achievement of targets by the role holder as well as the organization.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum salary target for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and job level and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
