Role Description
This is an on-site internship role based in Poitiers for a candidate specializing in Modeling & Model Predictive Control (MPC) for sail-assisted ships. Responsibilities include conducting modeling and simulation analysis, developing and optimizing MPC algorithms, and implementing control strategies tailored for sail-assisted ships. The intern will also analyze system behavior using mathematical models, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the development of sustainable transportation solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in mathematical modeling, control systems, and Model Predictive Control (MPC)
- Skilled in simulation tools and software such as MATLAB, Simulink, or equivalent
- Ability to work with real-world datasets and analyze system dynamics for practical implementation
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills for collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Background in mechanical or electrical engineering, control engineering, or a related technical field (enrolled in a degree program or recent graduate)
