Qualification/ Personal Attributes

• Graduate / Diploma in any discipline (preferably with specialization in Supply Chain, Materials Management, or Commerce)
• 2–5 years of experience in local procurement or vendor coordination in a manufacturing setup
• Good negotiation and vendor management skills
• Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement documentation
• Strong communication and follow-up skills
• Knowledge of statutory compliance related to local purchases

Job Description

• Handle day-to-day local procurement activities for consumables, spares, and indirect materials
• Identify and develop local vendors for timely supply of required items
• Ensure proper documentation including purchase orders, quotations, and delivery challans
• Coordinate with stores, accounts, and user departments for material requirement and approvals
• Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and payment terms with vendors
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and statutory norms
• Maintain vendor database and procurement records in ERP system
• Support audit and reporting requirements related to local purchases
• Assist in resolving supply issues and ensuring timely availability of materials
