About Us
Since 1978 Air Inuit has been providing scheduled, charter, cargo, and emergency air transportation services in Nunavik and beyond, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Collectively owned by the Inuit of Nunavik, through the Makivik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of over 35 aircraft ranging from a Twin Otter 300 Series to a Boeing C, 300 and 800 and employs over 1000 employees in one of the most challenging flight environments.

Air Inuit's Management and its team of dedicated employees are committed to the company's essential mission of providing safe, timely and high-quality air service to the people living and doing business in the enchanting region of Northern Quebec.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Organize the warehouse in a functional manner and ensure the proper functioning of the equipment;
  • Load preparation and load verifications;
  • Assist, when necessary, in the loading and unloading of the aircraft;
  • Help prepare all flight documents related to cargo;
  • Cargo reception and distribution;
  • Operate the forklift;
  • Be fully trained to replace the cargo agent;
  • Participate in the training of the staff under his/her supervision; Assist in the de-icing of aircraft;
  • All other duties deemed necessary by the company to ensure the operation's effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Bilingual (English/Inuktituk) or (French/Inuktituk) or (French/English);
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work under pressure in a physically challenging environment;
  • Hold a valid driving license;
  • Available to work evenings, nights and weekends;
  • If the position is not filled locally, the candidate will be considered as having no specific base.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Rotational position: 15 days on and 13 days off
  • Air transport from Montreal as well as accommodation and meals are covered by the company for each rotation.
  • The employee will be recognized as not having a designated base.

Compensation

  • Compensation and benefits are determined in accordance with corporate policy
