The Data Program is the trusted partner for advanced analytics and machine learning solutions. Its mission is to create business value at scale by leveraging data at the core of decision-making across the value chain. The program empowers people to gain valuable insights from data, working in close alignment with business groups, regions, and functions. Within GIT, the role of the Group Data Office & Digital Transformation is to lead the transformation across business functions and processes. The goal particularly includes implementing Data/AI/GenAI driven culture by fostering innovation, expertise and business satisfaction.

Your mission, roles and responsibilities

The Data Engineer Apprentice will be part of the Data Program team, you will assist on the collecting, storing, processing, analyzing and documenting of huge sets of data.

Reporting directly to the Data Program team, your missions will be:

  • Maintain data documentation and definitions.
  • Contribute to a key data quality project by building a tool to detect and eliminate duplicate records.
  • Process and analyze massive datasets efficiently using PySpark and automated data pipelines.
  • Develop and integrate a front-end application to visualize matching scores and facilitate user validation.
  • Help improve master data accuracy by providing a reliable and intelligent deduplication solution.
  • Ensure data quality, interpret, & analyze the data problems.
  • Develop, construct, test, and maintain pipelines.

This list of missions is not exhaustive, other projects will be added.

By working with expert engineers in various fields, this experience will allow you to discover an organization rich in different professions, in a complex international and matrix environment.

Your profile and competencies to succeed
  • Diploma or Master in engineering (university, engineering school)
  • Level of training: BAC+3 to BAC+5

  • Appreciable knowledge in: Python/Pyspark, UX/UI design, Data processing, English (international team), API understanding

  • Ability to work in a matrix organization

  • Autonomy, rigor
  • Work and team spirit essential
  • Good oral and written expression
  • Scientific curiosity
  • Analysis, exploitation and presentation of experimental data and calculations
  • Languages: French, English
