Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior ColdFusion Developer
with 5–8 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-grade web applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in ColdFusion (CFML), strong database integration skills, and a solid understanding of secure coding practices. This role involves building scalable, audit-ready solutions, particularly within regulated and compliance-driven environments.

Key Responsibilities
Application Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust ColdFusion applications using CFML and frameworks such as ColdBox, FW/1, and Fusebox.
  • Develop reusable components and modular architectures for enterprise-scale systems.
  • Ensure high-quality code aligned with best practices and organizational standards.

Database Integration

  • Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
  • Work with databases including Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.
  • Perform data modeling, indexing, and performance tuning to ensure optimal application performance.

API & System Integration

  • Develop and consume RESTful and SOAP APIs for third-party and internal system integrations.
  • Collaborate with front-end teams to integrate ColdFusion backends with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or

Security & Compliance

  • Implement OWASP secure coding practices to safeguard applications.
  • Ensure compliance with PII/PHI data protection standards, especially in healthcare and regulated industries.
  • Participate in security reviews and audits as required.

Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting

  • Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
  • Debug complex issues and perform performance tuning.
  • Proactively monitor production systems and resolve application issues.

DevOps & Deployment

  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Manage deployments across Windows and Linux servers.
  • Support applications hosted on cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5–8 years of professional experience in ColdFusion / CFML development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with ColdBox, FW/1, and Fusebox frameworks.
  • Advanced SQL expertise with Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL databases.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AJAX.
  • Strong understanding of secure coding, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with Git/SVN version control systems.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and enterprise deployment processes.
  • Experience working on enterprise-scale applications in regulated environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare IT, medical devices, or telehealth platforms.
  • Knowledge of data governance, audit-ready automation, and BI-ready solutions.
  • Exposure to cloud-native architectures, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
