Quantum Measurement Engineer

As a Quantum Measurement Engineer, you will play a key role in advancing the performance of multi-qubit quantum hardware. Working within a dedicated quantum measurement and control team, you will focus on optimizing quantum operations, developing robust measurement infrastructure, and deepening the physical understanding of solid-state qubit systems integrated with high-impedance cQED platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and lead experimental programs to improve quantum control fidelity and overall system performance on multi-qubit devices
- Develop a deep physical understanding of spin-based qubits integrated in microwave quantum circuits, working closely with theory and modelling teams
- Design, build, and continuously improve DC and microwave measurement setups, with a strong focus on automation, calibration, and long-term stability
- Develop and maintain control and measurement software, ensuring reproducible, high-quality experimental workflows
- Analyse, document, and curate experimental datasets to support internal research, publications, and technology development
Requirements
- PhD in quantum physics, electrical engineering, or a closely related field
- Strong foundation in quantum mechanics and experimental quantum systems
- Hands-on experience with quantum hardware (e.g. qubits, cQED systems, quantum dots)
- Solid Python skills and experience with data acquisition and experiment control frameworks
- Able to connect experimental challenges with practical engineering solutions
- Clear communicator in English, comfortable working in an interdisciplinary team
