Overview
We are seeking an experienced BMS & ELV Lead to join a leading data centre owner/operator in France. This is a client-side role, offering the opportunity to take technical ownership of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems across hyperscale and colocation data centre projects.
You will play a key role from design review through construction, commissioning, and live operations, ensuring systems are delivered to the highest standards of resilience, performance, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the client-side technical authority for all BMS and ELV systems
- Lead design reviews (concept, detailed, and IFC stages) with consultants and contractors
- Define and maintain technical standards, specifications, and architectures
- Oversee integration between BMS, EPMS, SCADA, DCIM, and ELV platforms
- Manage contractors, system integrators, and vendors on site
- Lead or support FAT, SAT, IST, and commissioning activities
- Ensure systems meet availability, redundancy, cybersecurity, and operational requirements
- Support transition from construction to operations, including documentation and training
- Provide technical input to new developments, upgrades, and live-site improvements
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and internal policies
Systems in Scope
- BMS (HVAC, plant, controls)
- ELV systems including:
- Access Control & CCTV
- Fire detection interfaces
- Structured cabling
- Monitoring & alarming systems
- EPMS / SCADA / DCIM integration
- Network architecture and cybersecurity considerations for OT systems
Required Experience
- Proven experience in a BMS / Controls / ELV leadership role
- Strong background in data centres, mission-critical, or critical infrastructure
- Experience working client-side or in a senior contractor / integrator role
- Strong understanding of redundant system architectures and high-availability environments
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across design, construction, and operations
- Familiarity with international standards and best practices (TIA, IEC, ISO, ASHRAE, etc.)
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent technical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, technically complex environments
- Ability to challenge design and drive best-in-class solutions
- Fluent English required; French strongly preferred
