AI Conversational Designer

We are supporting one of our clients, a market leader with a strong AI-first and innovation-driven DNA, in scaling their conversational AI capabilities.

We're looking for an experienced AI Conversational Engineer with a proven track record in designing, configuring, and optimizing production-grade voicebots.

YOUR MISSION

This is a hybrid, high-impact role at the crossroads of:

• Engineering & integration
• Prompt engineering
• Conversation design

You'll work on two strategic platforms:

• Cognigy (NLU + LLM orchestration)
• Internal AI Agent Foundry (agentic workflows / LLM apps)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

You will contribute to a flagship project in conversational AI & voicebots. You'll own the full lifecycle of voicebots from design to deployment.

1 . Engineering & Platform Integration

• Configure and deploy voicebots on Cognigy and our internal AI Agent Foundry
• Integrate NLU, LLM, STT/TTS components
• Build robust, scalable conversational workflows
• Ensure reliability, latency and performance at scale

2 . Prompt Engineering & LLM Orchestration

• Design, optimize and version prompts for hybrid NLU + LLM architectures
• Shape behaviors, fallbacks, guardrails and consistency
• Use data to continuously improve model performance

3 . Conversation Design

• Build intents, entities, and end-to-end voice user journeys
• Define tone, style, error-handling and conversation guidelines
• Align design choices to business logic and operational needs

4 . Testing, QA & Continuous Improvements

• Set KPIs: intent accuracy, fallback rates, NPS, transfers
• Run structured testing loops and monitor logs
• Iterate based on data and production feedback

5 . Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work with product, engineering and business teams
• Translate needs into functional conversational solutions
• Support production rollout and adoption

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The role requires a versatile profile, capable of managing the full lifecycle of a voicebot.

Education

Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Computational Linguistics or similar

Experience

• 2 to 5+ years building and deploying chatbots/voicebots in production
• Strong experience with NLU platforms - Cognigy is a must
• Hands-on with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Llama, Mistral)
• Experience with STT/TTS technologies
• Knowledge of agentic architectures / AI Agents
• Comfortable working in Agile environments
• Fluent in English & French

Technical Skills

• Prompt engineering (LLM + NLU hybrid flows)
• Complex conversational flow building
• API integrations
• Bot monitoring & performance optimization
