Senior Communications Manager

Job Title: Senior Communications Manager – EU

Responsible to: Prestige HUB Communications Director

Location: Paris, France with regular visits to Prestige HUB office in London or London, UK.

Language Requirements: Native Level French and English speaker equivalent to DALF Levels of C1 or C2

Business Context

TATCHA was founded in 2009 by Vicky Tsai who unexpectedly found herself in Kyoto, where she encountered a culture of harmony, beauty, and well-being that healed her from skin to soul. Every TATCHA formula is crafted at the TATCHA Institute in Tokyo, where leading scientists innovate within tradition: balancing timeless Japanese botanicals with proven clinical ingredients to work with skin, not against it.

Main Responsibilities

You will work closely with the HUB Communications Director, Sephora and local PR agencies in France, Spain and Italy to launch Tatcha into Europe. You will maintain momentum by driving visibility and desirability of the brand through press and social media coverage, strategic partnerships and engaging events. You will be responsible for managing the EU PR Calendar, Events Management, Reporting and Budget Management, whilst collaborating with the UK team.

PR Agencies

• Build and execute a strong PR strategy for the three key markets
• Develop and execute best-in-class events to maximise reach and Earned Media Value
• Create impactful paid influencer partnerships to amplify brand reach to new customers
• Generate qualitative print and online press and organic social media content to drive awareness and conversion
• Day-to-day management of the three agencies
• Ensure collateral, mailer boxes, stock etc are all delivered on time and to the highest standard
• Creation and approval of press and influencer mailing lists per activation
• Build and maintain strong network of press and influencers across a variety of tier levels and communities

Sephora – Exclusive Retail Partner

• Build and nurture strong relationships with PR and social teams
• Ensure Tatcha is involved in all press and influencer opportunities Work closely with the PR and social teams to deliver a successful brand launch into Europe and ongoing partnership

Press & Influencer Management
Alongside the French, Spanish and Italian PR agencies, maintain a strong network of press and influencer contacts across key titles and target communities to deliver editorial and organic coverage.

Acquisition

• Researching new influencers to onboard using knowledge, manual research, discover tools, competitor insights
• Inviting influencers to receive product + managing influencer send outs (via agency)
• Ensuring onboarded influencers are retained across the year via regular communications (product replenishment & relationship building)

Retention

• Ensure a strong varied network of influencer communities e.g. VIP & celebrity, core beauty, expert beauty (MUAs, dermatologists) luxury fashion & lifestyle, female founders, artis & culture, across all tier levels

Press

• Identify and manage database of key print and online press
• Responsible for agency day-to-day management of media outreach and media relations through creative and proactive pitching and personal appointments.
• Using press & influencer platforms, and agency tool, to track and analyse coverage and pull results, reports and presentations e.g. Tribe Dynamics
• With agency, ensure updated database of press and influencer networks

Paid Influencer Partners

• Alongside the French, Spanish and Italian agencies, maintain a strong network of press and influencer contacts across key titles and target communities to deliver editorial and organic coverage.
• Researching and onboarding new paid influencers to onboard using discover tools and competitor insights
• Contract approvals with legal team
• Work closely with UK brand and PR team to execute campaigns in line with global/EU marketing/PR calendars
• Manage and execute affiliate programme for paid and organic influencers to drive conversion and test potential revenue drivers
• Good understanding of competitor activity and activity within the competitive beauty landscape

Key Requirements

• Native Level French and English speaker equivalent to DALF Levels of C1 or C2
• Strong French beauty press contacts
• Strong and varied network of beauty and non-beauty influencers in France
• Previous experience and knowledge working with France, Spain and Italy
• Previous experience and passion working in luxury beauty and skincare
