What You'll Do
- Monitor and administer PI System servers, interfaces, adapters, connectors, and related applications.
- Manage the PI Data Archive, Asset Framework (AF), PI Vision, PI Web API, interfaces, connectors, and adapters.
- Ensure system availability, perform regular backups, apply patches, and maintain disaster recovery readiness.
- Ensure cybersecurity compliance, including management of SSL certificates, user access roles, and security patches.
- Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Administer, monitor, and maintain the OSIsoft PI System (including PI System Health Monitoring) to guarantee data availability, performance, and integrity.
- Deploy and maintain monitoring tools (PI System Status Monitoring, notifications, etc.).
- Proactively supervise PI infrastructure: interface availability, data performance, latency, and communication errors.
- Collaborate closely with Automation, IT, and Process teams for integration of new tags, interfaces, and data sources.
- Manage data buffering systems to prevent data loss during network or server downtime.
- Monitor buffer health, latency, and potential overflow conditions, and troubleshoot issues as needed.
Who You Are
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with OPC UA, Modbus, UFL, RDBMS, and PI-to-PI interfaces.
- Understanding of SQL Server, IIS, and industrial network architectures.
- Familiarity with AVEVA / OSIsoft PI System components (PI AF, PI Vision, PI Integrators, Adapters, and Connectors).
- Experience performing upgrades, updates, and migrations in validated or production environments.
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to communicate effectively in technical environments.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
