NES Fircroft are delighted to be partnering with a major EPCI contractor specialized in Marine & Offshore works who are looking for an Structural Engineer to work on a major FPSO project. The position will be in our client offices in Paris and will operate on a contract basis for an initial 12-month duration for excellent potential to extend beyond as project work scopes develop. The role will be required to work in Paris full time Monday – Friday. In return the individual will be provided with an excellent day rate. Key Responsibilities:Design and analyze offshore subsea structures including FLETs, manifolds, suction piles, and large mudmats.Utilize FEA software ABAQUS (2D shell and 3D volumic) and Beam software SACS for structural analysis.Perform hand calculations to validate design solutions.Review and provide feedback on drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.Collaborate with draftsmen, ensuring data provided is accurate and timely.Propose innovative solutions and improvements to project leads.Ensure all designs meet industry standards and project requirements.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.Proven experience in offshore subsea structure design and analysis.Proficiency in FEA software ABAQUS (2D shell and 3D volumic) and ideally Beam software SACS.Aids Installation KnowledgeStrong hand calculation skills.Ability to work independently and propose effective design solutions.Excellent communication skills in English (both written and oral); proficiency in French is a plus.Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.Strong knowledge of installation methods, which is essential to understand the expectations of methods and operations engineers.Preferred Skills:Experience working on previous projects involving offshore subsea structures.Ability to review and provide constructive feedback on technical drawings.Strong collaboration skills with draftsmen and other team members.Commitment to meeting project deadlines and delivering accurate data.With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and Manufacturing sectors worldwide.
