Senior IT Project Manager

Job DescriptionThe GBS Settlement & Issuer Tribe is responsible for maintaining and delivering a range of initiatives that support the ESES Settlement and Issuer business. In this role, you will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of large-scale Epics that span multiple Tribes. You will need expertise in managing complex initiatives, especially where project processes, strategies, and frameworks are subject to frequent change and instability. The successful candidate will define the Epic and its baseline, ensuring that execution is controlled across all dimensions, including time, cost, risk, scope, quality, and effort, while maintaining alignment with IT controls and the business case. Additionally, knowledge of business resilience and familiarity with different approaches is considered a valuable asset for this position.Key responsibilities Lead one or multiple Epics/Projects of varying complexity involving teams across different locations, divisions & entities, including third-party suppliers, and multiple disciplines in the IT function Thanks to a clear understanding of the solutions, their impact and dependencies to the general ecosystem and other initiatives in the roadmap, proactively identify risks, define, drive and track the required actions to mitigate them or resolve issues, demonstrating both business and technical partners to ensure that the projects goals and requirements are met Develop and maintain detailed project plans and forecasts, including resource allocation, costs, and dependencies, ensuring that the team's overall resources are used effectively to meet the projects objectives and deadlines, supervising progress and adherence with the baselined plan Handle change control processes. Where required, challenge and negotiate changes in project specifications or scope with the project business and IT partners, using the support of business or technical domain experts Regularly report progress at all levels of the organization, including senior management, partners and sponsor/business collaborators. Ensure Epics/projects adhere to Euroclear's internal standards and methodologies. Lead improvement initiatives and acting as the primary connection between project sponsors/clients and IT services.Required Experience & Qualifications: Knowledge of project management for business resilience, familiarity with various approaches, and the ability to maintain an end-to-end vision. The candidate should be able to propose a coherent structure for delivery and organization across different projects. Advanced project management skills, knowledge of both the Euroclear business and its technical environment is an asset. Ability to quickly grasp impacts and dependencies when discussing with both business and technical stakeholders and collaborators and to keep an eye on the bigger picture, to dive into the details only where required Demonstrated communication skills across all levels of the organization and capacity to quickly grasp, summarize and simply present complex information Effective negotiation, conflict management and influencing skills, assertiveness and ability to lead challenging internal and external collaborators Able to operate with limited support of his/her management line, organized and focus, able to remain positive in the face of challenge or under pressure At ease in a fast-changing environment, flexible and able to swiftly reprioritize tasks, a practical leader capable of handling various subjects simultaneously Proven experience in leading multi squads/locations projects including outsourcing partners, is preferred. Experience in Financial sector and/or in the Relevant industry-standard Agile qualifications. Ability to manage large, complex projects and adapt to evolving processes and frameworks. Communication domain is an asset, as are Prince2, PMI or similar IT delivery framework certificationsAdditional Insights : The role typically involves coordination across multiple disciplines and teams, requiring strong leadership and stakeholder management skills. Candidates should be adept at navigating organizational complexity, negotiating changes in scope, and driving project success within quality, time, and budget targets. Regular reporting and transparency are essential, as is the ability to influence without direct authority and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
