Short descriptionWe are looking for a second mate/ pipe operator. In addition to an experienced second mate, you are also adept at the pipe operator's profession. Function descriptionThe second mate onboard the vessel is responsible for navigation and the dredging process. Your work area is also on deck, to instruct the deck crew. An important part of this dual function is operating the pipe. As a pipe operator on board a hopper you fulfill an indispensable task. You are responsible for the dredging process and its optimization. You immediately participate in this experienced team, so that the production continues to run smoothly. What is expected of you as a 2nd mate/pipe operator? You are jointly responsible for the daily safety of personnel and ship Carry out and coordinate the dredging process under the supervision of the chief mate Making plans under the supervision of the captain and/or first mate Requirements Certificate of Competence Officer Navigational Watch Seamansbook Medical health certificate Valid STCW certificates Fluently English both spoken as written Experience as second mate onboard hopperdredgers Experience as pipe operator onboard hopperdredgers Interested in this vacancy as second mate/ pipe operator?
