The aim is to test different crude oils and different configurations (number and type of units) in order to optimize the complex layout and obtain a material balance at the plant boundaries, particularly in terms of the quality and quantity of finished products. The software used is Excel, and the tool does not use macros for calculations. A few macros are used to improve productivity and generate results for use in multiple cases. The tool requires adjustments to improve/add certain property/yield predictions, adjust the formulas used, and simplify its use by users.During this internship, you will be supported by a tutor who will answer your questions and coordinate activities and meetings with experts on the subject.Starting Date: Between January 1 and April 1 Duration : 2 to 4 monthsAbout you:We love to hear from you and how you match with this position. To be successful in this mission you should consider the following requirements: Second-year engineering student at a school specializing in process engineering/chemical engineering, or a general education program with a process engineering/chemical engineering option. DESIRED SKILLS: Software: The intern must have a good knowledge of Excel. Interpersonal skills: Good interpersonal skills are a plus, but the intern must demonstrate rigor, initiative, autonomy, and technical curiosity.
