We are currently seeking a Senior Data Scientist , reporting directly to Head of AI and Automation Hub to join our Data, New Tech and Software Engineering team based in Nanterre, Paris,France. About the mission we offer you: We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist with 5-7 years of experience to join our innovative AI team. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge artificial intelligence solutions across energy, infrastructure, and industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in GenAI, Computer Vision, and NLP, with hands-on experience deploying production-ready ML solutions in cloud environments. Technip Energies has been digitalizing for several years, has many building blocks to derive value from the Digital in the broadest sense and wishes to accelerate its digitalization by capitalizing on what has been done so far, setting an ambitious course for the next 5 years to better serve its customers, anticipate their needs and gain substantially in efficiency while taking advantage of new technologies. An evolution in the operating model has been performed recently, creating 1 new CDIO role (Management of Digital and Information Technology). CDIO launched a Digital Acceleration Plan. Phase 1 of the plan has been delivered, defining ambition of the Digital acceleration plan in terms of technology and expected business outcomes. Phase 2 is ongoing and includes the implementation of a new Product / Platform operating model within Digiteam. During this phase many initiatives are launched to build new products on Technip Energies segments Project Delivery as well as Technology, Products Services. The phase 2 also aims to reinforce the historically weak Enterprise Architecture discipline, enabling Coherence and Alignment from Strategy to Execution during the business digitalization roadmap. Main responsibilities: AI & Machine Learning Development • Design, develop, and deploy advanced GenAI and machine learning models for diverse applications. • Lead the development and continuous improvement of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems for complex document processing • Implement multi-agent workflows to solve complex business problems • Build , finetune and optimize LLM , computer vision models for defect detection, crack identification, and object segmentation in industrial imagery • Develop NLP pipelines for text classification, summarization, and information extraction using state-of-the-art LLMs Cloud Infrastructure & MLOps • Design and implement scalable cloud-based ML solutions on Azure • Deploy and manage ML services using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure ML Studio, and containerized applications • Build robust data pipelines and processing frameworks • Implement MLOps best practices including model monitoring, data drift detection, CI/CD pipelines, and automated retraining Innovation & Research • Conduct research and experimentation on emerging AI technologies through internal lab initiatives • Generate synthetic data for various use cases including time series, tabular data, and images to enhance model training • Perform POCs and technology benchmarking to evaluate new tools, frameworks, and methodologies • Stay current with latest developments in GenAI, computer vision, and deep learning Leadership & Collaboration • Lead and mentor a team of 4-5 data scientists in an international, multicultural environment • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and business stakeholders • Present technical findings and project outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences • Contribute to knowledge sharing through presentations at industry conferences and internal workshops Starting Date: ASAP About you: We love to hear from you and how you match with this position. To be successful in this mission you should consider the following requirements: Education • Degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or related field Technical Experience • 5-7 years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer • Proven expertise in Computer Vision applications (object detection, segmentation, defect identification) • Strong background in Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) • Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) including text classification and OCR • Demonstrated success deploying ML models to production environments Programming & Tools • Expert-level proficiency in LLM finetuning and optimization • Strong experience with deep learning frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras • Proficiency in computer vision libraries: OpenCV, Pillow • Working knowledge of SQL and experience with C# and angular is a plus • Familiarity with development environments: Jupyter Notebook, PyCharm, Visual Studio, Anaconda Cloud & Infrastructure • Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform • Experience with ML platforms such as Azure ML Studio, Dataiku, or similar • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) • Understanding of MLOps practices and CI/CD pipelines Domain Knowledge (Optional but preferred) • Experience in energy sector, infrastructure, or industrial applications strongly preferred • Understanding of industrial monitoring, surveillance systems, or asset management • Familiarity with safety-critical applications and regulatory requirements is a plus Soft Skills: Ability to functionally manage people or mentor them Ability to communicate with stakehodlers on different levels in the organization Ability to influence Innovative and creative approach to problem solving is valued Your career with us Working at Technip Energies is an inspiring journey, filled with groundbreaking projects and dynamic collaborations.
