Product Manager – FranceLocation: FranceContract: Full-timeDepartment: Product / MarketingPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Product Manager to lead product planning, market analysis, and localization efforts for the French market. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping the product portfolio by understanding consumer needs, monitoring industry trends, and guiding the development of new vehicle projects.The ideal candidate brings deep automotive expertise, strong strategic thinking, and the ability to communicate complex decisions clearly and convincingly to senior leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesMarket & Consumer InsightsConduct in-depth research on technology and product development trends within the local automotive market.Analyze and identify local consumer needs, expectations, and purchase drivers.Monitor competitor product performance, features, strategies, and market positioning.Product Planning & StrategyDevelop product planning roadmaps for the local market, aligned with the company's mid- and long-term strategic objectives.Define product localization requirements, including design, configuration, homologation, pricing, and sales planning.Own and manage the full product homologation and certification process for the French market, ensuring all products fully meet local regulatory standards.Drive the initiation and development of new product projects tailored to local market conditions.Product Introduction & SupportParticipate in product introductions during marketing events, fleet presentations, and public relations activities.Provide expert product support to training, sales, and event teams when needed.Deliver clear, frequent, and insightful reporting to the management team.Cross-functional CollaborationWork closely with global HQ teams to ensure alignment between local market needs and overall product strategy.Support cross-departmental initiatives requiring product expertise, especially during launches and strategic reviews.Qualifications & RequirementsExperienceMinimum 10 years of product management experience in the automotive industry (related experience considered if aligned with a consistent career path).Strong understanding of French market requirements, including homologation, product adaptation, customer expectations, and the competitive landscape.Skills & CompetenciesFamiliarity with product planning, feature strategy, and competitive benchmarking used by leading automotive brands.Strong communication and presentation skills—clear, structured, and persuasive.Ability to use English as a working language.Strategic mindset with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Willingness to travel occasionally within France for product launches, events, and activities requiring product expertise.
