We are now recruiting a General Manager for The Queen Elizabeth in Strasbourg, our newest English Pub in FranceOur English family brewery and pub company "Wells & Co" based in the UK has existed for over 140 years and in addition to a portfolio of 160 pubs in the UK, we are very proud of our 19 establishments offering our customers unique English beers, great food, hospitality and regular events. Our sites are located across France, including Paris, La Rochelle, Lille, Reims, Lyon, Bordeaux, Montpellier and Toulouse.Joining the Wells & Co France family is the promise of being part of a growing company where cohesion and initiative are required. Development opportunities are a reality and internal promotion is our priority.We will provide you with:Permanent contract – forfait joursCompetitive salary to €47,0005 weeks of holiday + RTTImmediate start3 weeks training: in another establishmentYour role as General Manager:Overall management of the pub, maintaining front and back of house standards to drive excellence in food and drink deliveryEnsuring guests are cared for to the highest standards and expectations exceeded, so they return with their friendsRecommend and serve perfect beers every timeDelivering against key measures of sales, profit, and team retention whilst having fun along the wayConduct regular stock control and compare to usage reports including waste records to identify opportunities for tighter controlEnsure procedures are followed to comply with H&S standardsRecruit and maintain a motivated team with excellent standards identifying talent and ensuring successionPrepare weekly employee rotasSet budgets and complete regular reports as requiredPromote the pub and events to drive footfall and sales growthWhat we are looking for:Previous General Management experience, ideally gained in a pub or bar (Essential)Ability to speak English and French fluentlyEnergy and motivation to successfully lead and inspire your teamExcellent operational skills as well as a solid base of back office managementFull financial understanding, and be able to react to the ever-changing needs of the businessThe ability to lead from the front and develop & train the team where requiredA result driven and ambitious individual excited at the opportunity to grow your businessA passion for the industry, English Pubs and great beerPub opening hours are late afternoon to evening 7 days p/wEnergetic and vibrant, as General Manager you will be the face of our businesses and have a natural flair for hospitality and the ability to motivate and lead a team through your passion, standards and commitment.
