Senior Planning Engineer (EPC / Gas Treatment Units)Location: Charenton-le-Pont, FranceContract: 12-month assignment (start date: 15/12/2025)Day Rate: €600–€850 (TBC)Workload: Approx. 3–4 days per week on-siteApplication Route: Only applications submitted via Spencer Ogden .About the RoleSpencer Ogden is supporting a leading engineering organisation in the search for an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to oversee planning activities for complex EP/EPC gas treatment unit projects. These long-cycle industrial projects typically run for around 3 years, with budgets ranging from €50M to €500M.The successful candidate will take full responsibility for project scheduling, progress measurement, and planning control within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop full project schedule baselines and progress measurement systems aligned with the company WBSIntegrate and coordinate all project activities, including those from customers and stakeholdersWork with discipline leads to validate dates, durations, dependencies, and activity weightingPerform critical path analysis and propose mitigation or recovery plansCollaborate closely with Project Engineers and participate in project review and coordination meetingsConduct monthly schedule updates and maintain progress measurement sheetsExecute progress analysis, including look-ahead planning and delay assessmentRecommend corrective actions to maintain project performanceSupport planning and project control to ensure deadlines and progress milestones are achievedAssist the Project Manager in defining execution strategy and structuring project activitiesProvide continuous visibility on schedule status and overall project progressRequired Experience & Skills10+ years' experience in large industrial EPC projectsPrimavera P6 expertise (mandatory)Strong understanding of engineering workflows, including:P&ID interpretation3D model input requirementsE&I cyclesBackground in the chemical, oil & gas, or energy sectorsFluent EnglishProficiency with Google Sheets (a plus)Key soft skills: proactive mindset, strong communication, curiosityPlease apply via the link below
