Groover is an international music-tech platform helping independent artists grow their careers by connecting them with music industry professionals.

We operate across Europe and the US and are entering a key phase of financial structuring, profitability and scale.

We are looking for a Finance Manager to take ownership of day-to-day finance operations, progressively internalize most of the finance scope, and build a robust, automated and decision-oriented finance function.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role, working closely with the founders. You will report directly to the CEO.

As Finance Manager, you will be the owner of finance operations and financial planning, with direct exposure to leadership.
Your mission is to run the finance function end-to-end, execute first, then structure, automate and improve.

This is not a purely strategic role — you will be doing things yourself, especially at the beginning.

🧩 Your responsibilities

📊 Financial planning & business partnering

Build, maintain and update the budget & business plan
Run monthly rolling forecasts
Analyze actuals vs budget and explain variances
Produce clear financial reporting for founders and stakeholders
Support business decisions (cash management, prioritization, trade-offs)

🧾 Finance operations & admin

Monthly closings
Accruals, journal entries, bank reconciliations
Accounts receivable follow-up
Execution of payments and bank transfers
Basic finance admin (supplier invoices, follow-ups, controls)
Coordination with the accounting firm

🤝 Relationship with the accounting firm

Be comfortable discussing, challenging and arbitrating with external accountants
You don’t need a 100% accounting background, but you must:
- quickly understand accounting issues,
- ask the right questions,
- detect inconsistencies or risks,
- challenge recommendations when needed.
The goal is a peer-to-peer relationship, not a passive one.

Advanced use of Excel / Google Sheets
Daily use of Pennylane
Work with Stripe, banks, payment tools, HR tools
Design and implement automated processes, using tools and AI where relevant, to:
- reduce manual work,
- improve reliability,
- speed up reporting and controls.
