Our mission is supported by an ambitious vertically integrated approach: design & manufacture of small satellites combined with development of earth observation services.

Since its creation in 2018, the company has already grown substantially. Our team gathers more than 25 engineering expertise, from hardware design to software development & data science.

In 2023, Aerospacelab counts offices in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium), Bordeaux (France) and Lausanne (Switzerland) with more than 200 full-time employees, with the ambition to position itself as the European leader in small satellites.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Thermal Engineer

Duties :

Define spacecraft thermal architecture and units thermal designs, perform concepts trade-off, carry out overall design studies and validate the products through extensive testing Define the thermal control of platforms and units (incl. specification of payload thermal environment) Carry out the testing activities: support to assembly, thermal validation and prediction, Ground Support Equipment definition Exploitation of flight data

Profil recherché

Must have :

MSc degree in thermal engineering, aerospace engineering or related field Demonstrated ability to work across the team and company to drive thermal designs to completion in full autonomy Demonstrated ability to define and carry out thermal testing (Thermal Cycling, Thermal Balance Tests) 3y+ experience in thermal design (preferably with Systema-Thermica) and testing Good communication skills Fluency in English

Nice to have :

Experience in various thermal software (Systema-Thermica, SigFit, ESATAN) will be strongly appreciated Experience with space environment requirements will be strongly appreciated Task automation skills through scripts (Python)
