Sysco International sits at the centre of Sysco’s International businesses, covering 4 key markets in Europe as well as other markets in Latin America and the Caribbean. As a function Sysco International’s Data team exists to facilitate data alignment between the international businesses and Sysco’s “Global Support Centre” (GSC) in Houston, with the aim of driving International KPIs, efficiencies, shared best practice, improved ways of working and synergy across the markets to ultimately achieve standard Global data.

The Role:

We are currently hiring for a Technical Business Analyst role that will work across both national and international Sysco businesses to gather and analyse business requirements to enable a global data platform.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the partial leadership of data initiatives maximizing opportunities as it relates to business processes, identifying needs, and developing data management strategies. They will also create and review data collateral to be used for served and self-served data consumers. Partner with and influence developers, stakeholders, system architects and various subject matter experts to determine priorities.

This role reports into Sysco International’s Data team structure within the Business Technology team.

The Technical Business Analyst role will analyse all sources of data and data requirements from the international companies and work with countries on projects that move towards one standard Global data structure.

Role Responsibilities:

Work with International Sysco Sites and relevant stakeholders within those countries to collect data requirements.

Own and manage the business and technical requirements for projects that move forward Global initiatives.

Own and manage documentation of all requirements and technical specifications.

Ensure data requirements are accurate and comparable across markets, to aligned definitions.

Work with relevant stakeholders (both in-country – finance contacts, and centrally – Business Technology) to maintain data in a viable data framework.

Collaborate with the relevant Business Technology functions to ensure data integrity and data security compliant to Sysco’s needs.

Conduct comprehensive analysis on various Business initiatives in efforts to create efficiencies and improvement. 

Oversee, develop, and deploy new tools and technologies as needed to support the role.

Knowledge, skills, experience, and competencies

Fluent in both French and English

A good level of experience in business and technical requirements analysis 

Analytical and strategic thinker

Empathic and a good communicator 

Ability to quickly understand data requirements

Ability to influence others

Open to change and willing to question “why?” to identify opportunities for improvement

Ability to multi-task to coordinate multiple concurrently running project workstreams

Resilience, and commitment to drive projects through to completion

A good level of experience in a complex technical business analyst role ideally within a food / foodservice / retail environment.

General Data warehousing knowledge is beneficial

Knowledge of SQL, python would be preferrable

Self-reliant exploring, extracting, analyzing, and presenting information with Excel (PivotTables, writing VBA code, etc.).
